Sunday, November 9th, 2008
In 2009 TSTT will be the technology partner of Trinidad and Tobago’s premiere energy event, the Trinidad and Tobago Petroleum Conference (TTPC). This was revealed at a breakfast for members of the South Trinidad Chamber of Industry and Commerce (STCIC) on Tuesday, October 7.
The conference themed “Energy for Competitiveness” takes place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, from February 2-4, 2009.
TSTT’s Chief Marketing Officer William Powell, speaking at the Chamber’s Executive Office, explained that the company, the nation’s only full-service telecom provider, will facilitate a series of new innovations, which will add value for delegates and attendees at the STCIC signature event.
The STCIC membership spans the gamut of businesses and several services were presented that could assist members in optimising their productivity, including video and audio conferencing.
Roger Mike, the Chamber’s Vice President, Trade and Industry lead a lively question and answer session during which invited guests seized the opportunity to question the TSTT Team on the future plans for the company, infrastructure work in the South and on the provision of services. Mr. Powell and other members of TSTT’s staff on hand shared some of TSTT’s ongoing technical and customer service initiatives with the audience.
Chamber members and guests were asked by TSTT to help in the fight against cable theft by being vigilant and reporting suspicious activities in their area.
The Tuesday morning event is the latest activity in TSTT’s ongoing engagement with the business community. Similar sessions have been held with the Greater Chaguanas Chamber of Industry and Commerce and AMCHAM. T&T
